The mission of this program is to prepare students for entry into the electronics technology industry. Students explore career opportunities and requirements of a professional electronics technician.
Training includes but is not limited to Direct current (DC) circuits, alternating current (AC) circuits and analog circuits; solid state and digital devices; microprocessors; use of circuit diagrams and schematics; soldering and chassis assembly techniques; laboratory practices; and technical recording and reporting.
Students will be receive training in preparation for taking the MSSC Production Technician industry certification.
The State of Florida requires students to meet a basic skills requirement prior to program completion. The basic skills grade levels for this program are: Mathematics 9.0, Language 9.0, Reading 9.0
A student must have passed all required courses in the program, attend at least ninety percent (85%) of the class hours offered and satisfied all financial obligations before he/she is eligible to receive a certificate of completion for the program.
